Piano Around the World

My piano at home faces the wall in my dining room. The piano I teach on at school faces a wall in the ‘Curriculum Resources” room (a cupboard). Wouldn’t it be nice to play or teach in more interesting surroundings? It seems I’m not alone in this thought …

In 2010 young pianist Dotan Negrin (now 24) embarked on his “Piano Around the World Tour”. He has hauled his piano around various places through Central America and Europe and his latest stop is Catskill Park in New York – as reported by CBS Evening News.

I can only dream of playing the piano up a mountain or on a beach … rather than in a cupboard.
