It was refreshing to read an article entitled “Marcel Currin: Unplugged power in piano, books” which I stumbled across in the New Zealand Herald.
The author shares my view that – useful though technology may be – it will never have the same appeal as the original items it aims to improve on. For this reason, I have never invested in a electronic reading device and will always choose a good old piano (even one with chipped keys) over an electronic instrument.
Of course, I have to admit that if it wasn’t for technology, I would never have seen this article in the first place … and wouldn’t have been able to share it with you!
