This Saturday (March 5th), Hebden Bridge (near Halifax in West Yorkshire) is holding a launch party in preparation for its annual piano festival which takes place in April.
The launch party starts at 6.30pm and will be held in Hebden Bridge Town Hall. The event is free and there will be a performance by pianist Derek Elton. This will also be an opportunity to buy tickets for the festival itself.
The Hebden Bridge Piano Festival will be held at the Waterfront Hall (with some events in the Town Hall) from Friday April 22nd – Sunday April 24th. Among the highlights will be a performance by Anna Tsybuleva – winner of the 2015 Leeds International Piano Competition. Also performing will be brilliant young pianist Yuanfan Yang who passed his grade 8 with distinction at the age of eight! (I can’t help wondering if he’d have achieved the same success with me as his teacher!)
