Seven-year-old’s Career Takes Off

I was very impressed to hear seven-year-old Phoenix Li playing Flight of the Bumblebee on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. It’s not a piece I’ve ever played myself – and don’t intend to try.

Phoenix – who has been playing the piano for only two years – is set to perform on Chinese television later this month – as reported in today’s South China Morning Post. She has also been asked to compete in a talent contest on German television.

Phoenix says when she grows up she wants to share her music with the world. With her performance receiving more than half a million views on youtube, it seems she’s well on her way to doing that already!
